Nokia Lumia 822, 5-inch HTC smartphone apparently headed to Verizon

Soon after the Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 were announced officially, a Verizon representative stated that the carrier is planning to release multiple Windows Phone 8 devices. And thanks to a leaked screenshot of Big Red's device management system, we kind of know what smartphone the carrier is currently eyeing. A handset by the name of Nokia Lumia 822 is apparently listed on the DMS with support for 4G connectivity, presumably LTE. It doesn't take a scientist to figure out that this could be a Nokia Lumia 820 model tailored for Verizon.


But wait, there's more! Another mysterious device that is listed on the system carries a code name HTC 6435 and is speculated to be HTC's rumored 5-inch beast of a smartphone. You know, the 5-inch super phone that has been rumored for a long time, and that is expected to look like this. If rumors are to be trusted, the handset will be positioned as a competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Note II, will have a very high-res display and will be powered by a Snapdragon S4 processor.

Of course, it is way too early to get excited about either of these smartphones as all this information is based on rumors and speculation. If the above holds water, however, then an official announcement straight from the horse's mouth might not be far off.
